The noon deadline has came and passed for filing
to run for the Kansas legislature.
This year will be a big election year, as all
seats in both the Kansas House of Representatives and the Kansas
Senate are on the ballot.
Rep. Adam Smith (R - Weskan) has just finished his
fourth year representing the 120th District, which consists of six
counties in northwest Kansas. He filed for
re-election in the fall of 2019 and waited to see if a challenger
would arise for the 120th District seat. As of 12:01 p.m., none had,
putting Smith on the ballot unopposed in both the primary and
general elections. |
